About Christine

Many of our collectors and students like to know about the people behind the art. Here is where we tell you a little about our backgrounds, interests and inspirations. If you wish to reach us to discuss a purchase, a commission, or a class or workshop proposal, feel free to do so by dropping us an email; a link is at the bottom of any page.

Christine has also created a blog for showing new work and new projects, and for mutual ramblings. Feel free to stop in and say hello: http://klingerart.blogspot.com.

CHRISTINE KLINGER is a photographer and sculptor who, since 2006, has also been pursuing an interest in painting.  She has a bachelor's degree from Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and a master's from Ohio University in Athens. She has studied with California painter Robert Burridge and is currently studying with Ohio painter Jean Koeller. Christine has studied sculpture with New York sculptor Philippe Faraut, Georgia sculptor Debra Fritts, and California sculptor Cheryl Tall. She has taught sculpture at Hancock College in Santa Maria, California, and Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and both sculpture and photography at Edison College in Piqua, Ohio. She is open to discussing private and small-group classes in sculpture or photography, and she does photographic portraits, events, and studio documentation of artwork.
Commissions
Christine will consider commission work in sculpture and photography. Some of her sculpture commissions have included plaster body casts of pregnant women, a hand portrait as a gift from a patient to her surgeon, and a back with hands sculpture as a gift for a chiropractor. She was also commissioned to design and create ceramic medallions for the 26th Annual Turkey Trot race in Miamisburg, Ohio. Christine also considers commissions for sculpture repair and restoration.
